Ingredients

  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 8-10 small corn or flour tortillas

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess flour.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, lime juice, and cilantro.
  7. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet, about 1 minute per side.
  8. To assemble the tacos, place some of the shrimp in each tortilla and top with the cilantro lime sauce.
  9. Enjoy!
