The filling consists of ground pork, cabbage, and various seasonings, while the dumplings are pan-fried until golden brown. Serve them with a savory dipping sauce for a truly satisfying meal. This recipe takes approximately 60 minutes to prepare and cook.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cups finely chopped cabbage
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 40 round dumpling wrappers
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  2. Place a dumpling wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 teaspoons of the filling mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half, forming a half-moon shape. Pleat and seal the edges to enclose the filling. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the pot stickers in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together water and cornstarch. Pour the mixture into the skillet and cover immediately.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the pot stickers are cooked through and the wrappers are slightly translucent. Remove the cover and cook for 1-2 minutes to crisp up the bottoms.
  6. Serve the fried pot stickers hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.
