Ingredients

  • 1 can of canned jackfruit in brine, drained
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
    • Directions

      1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Add the jackfruit, and mix until the jackfruit is evenly coated.
      2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Working in batches, fry the jackfruit until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes.
      3. Remove the fried jackfruit from the skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
      4. In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips, cream, butter, and vanilla extract over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth.
      5. Serve the fried jackfruit with the chocolate sauce and enjoy!
