1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until the beef is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, black beans, kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, sugar, black pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot.
