Ingredients

  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 cups salad greens
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette, or to taste

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the milk to the bowl and whisk to combine.
  3. Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter, making sure to coat them evenly.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the cauliflower for 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the cauliflower from the skillet and set aside.
  7. In a large bowl, combine the salad greens, carrots, red onion, feta, and balsamic vinaigrette.
  8. Add the fried cauliflower and toss to combine.
  9. Serve immediately.
