Ingredients

  • 2 large largemouth bass fillets, cleaned and patted dry
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Lemon wedges for garnish

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and basil.
  2. Heat the oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Dredge the bass fillets in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Carefully place the fillets in the hot oil and butter and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Once cooked through, remove the fish from the skillet and serve with lemon wedges.
