Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup cold buttermilk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt
- Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or two knives until the mixture looks like coarse meal
- Add the buttermilk and stir until the dough just comes together
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/2 inch thickness
- Cut with a biscuit cutter or a round drinking glass
- Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown
