Ingredients
- 2 cups of graham crackers, crushed
- 1 cup of butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 cups of white sugar
- 2/3 cup of evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and cinnamon. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour the hot mixture over the graham cracker crust. Sprinkle with walnuts and chocolate chips, if desired.
- Cool before cutting into bars.
