Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or french bread)
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- Maple syrup and/or powdered sugar (optional)
Directions
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Dip the slices of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides. Place the bread slices in the skillet or griddle.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip the slices of bread and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve with maple syrup and/or powdered sugar, if desired.
