Ingredients

  • 1 pound white fish fillets (such as cod, halibut, or tilapia)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
  • 1 cup thinly sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

Directions

  1. Rinse the fish fillets and pat dry with paper towels. Place the fish in a steamer basket.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Pour the mixture over the fish.
  3. Arrange the carrots, bell peppers, and mushrooms around the fish in the steamer basket.
  4. Place the steamer basket in a large pot with a lid. Fill the pot with enough water to reach the bottom of the steamer basket. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  5. Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Steam the fish and vegetables for 15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
  6. Transfer the cooked fish and vegetables to a serving platter. Drizzle the sesame oil over the top.
  7. Serve warm.
