Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup cold milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in milk. Stir until just combined.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently a few times. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick.
- Using a biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
