Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, sugar, salt, evaporated milk, and eggnog. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour into the prepared baking dish and allow to cool completely.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
