Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup warm water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 inch round pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir in the oil, vanilla, and warm water until well blended.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  4. Allow to cool completely before serving.
