Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Stir to combine.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil. Stir with a spoon until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover with a damp towel. Let it rise for about 30 minutes, until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease an 8-inch round baking pan with olive oil.
  6. Turn the dough out onto the prepared pan and press it out to fit the pan. Sprinkle with the rosemary, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm.
