Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the eggs, one at a time.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the almonds.
- Drop heaping tablespoons of the dough onto a greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
