Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound chanterelle mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the mushrooms and garlic and sauté for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the white wine and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve over cooked pasta or rice.
