Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until well coated.
- Set the Instant Pot to 'Saute' mode and heat oil. Add the chicken in batches and cook until browned.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Once chicken is browned, add the sauce mixture and chicken broth. Close the Instant Pot lid and set to 'Manual' for 5 minutes.
- Once done, quick release the pressure and stir in chopped green onions.
- Serve the General Tso's Chicken over cooked white rice and enjoy!
