- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, chopped onion, and minced garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Spread a layer of the meat sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker.
