Ingredients

  • 3 large apples, cored, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the apples, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until the apples are evenly coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the oats and melted butter. Mix until the oats are evenly coated.
  4. Place the apple mixture into a greased 9-inch round Dutch oven.
  5. Spread the oat mixture evenly over the top of the apples.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
