Ingredients
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons dark rum
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
Directions
Melt the chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler over low heat.
Remove from heat and stir in the corn syrup and rum.
Add the graham cracker crumbs and mix until combined.
Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Roll the balls in confectioners' sugar and store in an airtight container.
Interesting Facts
Rum balls can be stored at room temperature for up to 1 week.
You can also use other flavors of alcohol such as brandy or vodka.
For a kid-friendly version, omit the alcohol and use 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract instead.
