Ingredients
- 6 bell peppers (any color)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut off the tops of the bell peppers, remove the seeds and membranes, and discard them. Place the peppers in a baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
