This roasted garlic, bell pepper, and tomato blender sauce is a flavorful and versatile sauce perfect for pasta, pizza, or as a dipping sauce. The roasted vegetables add a rich, smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the tomatoes.
Ingredients
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 head of garlic
- 1 can of whole peeled tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Cut the bell peppers in half and remove the seeds. Place them cut side down on a baking sheet.
- Cut the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil.
- Place the garlic bundle on the baking sheet with the bell peppers.
