Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Yellow and orange food coloring
- Candy corn candies, for garnish
Directions
- In a large bowl, beat the butter until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with heavy cream, and continue beating until well combined.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Divide the frosting into three bowls - leave one bowl white, color one bowl with yellow food coloring, and the other with orange food coloring.
- Transfer each colored frosting into a piping bag with a large star tip.
- Pipe the frosting onto cupcakes in a candy corn pattern – white at the base, yellow in the middle, and orange at the top.
- Top each cupcake with a candy corn candy for decoration.
