Beefy Chinese dumplings are a tasty and savory dish perfect for any occasion. Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 package round dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cabbage, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold in half and crimp the edges to seal.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  4. Carefully pour 1/2 cup of water into the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the dumplings for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Remove the lid and continue cooking until all the water has evaporated and the bottoms are crispy.
  6. Serve the beefy Chinese dumplings hot with dipping sauce, such as soy sauce or sweet chili sauce.
