Baked Spaghetti III is a classic American comfort food that is easy to make and perfect for a cozy family dinner. This recipe combines rich tomato sauce, savory ground beef, gooey melted cheese, and tender spaghetti noodles baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 oz spaghetti noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is translucent.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Mix the cooked spaghetti with the sauce mixture.
- Pour half of the spaghetti mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the spaghetti.
- Repeat layers with the remaining spaghetti mixture and cheeses.
- Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is melted and golden brown.
