Ingredients

  • 6 hot dog buns
  • 6 beef hot dogs
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of diced onions
  • 1/4 cup of diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Wrap each hot dog with a slice of bacon, securing it with toothpicks if needed.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the wrapped hot dogs and cook until the bacon is crispy, turning occasionally for even cooking.
  4. Remove the toothpicks from the hot dogs and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.
  5. While the hot dogs are cooking, lightly toast the buns on the grill.
  6. Once the hot dogs are cooked, remove them from the skillet and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each hot dog. Allow the residual heat to melt the cheese.
  7. Place the cheesy hot dogs in the toasted buns and top with diced onions and pickles.
  8. Drizzle ketchup and mustard over the hot dogs.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
