  • 500g asparagus spears
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Trim the woody ends of the asparagus spears and cut them into 1-inch pieces.
  3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes until golden.
