Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Trim the tough ends of the asparagus spears. Place the asparagus on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, tossing to coat the asparagus evenly.
  3. Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and slightly charred.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat the minced garlic and lemon juice over medium heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic is fragrant and slightly softened.
