These ribs are slow-smoked to perfection and glazed with a tangy and sweet BBQ sauce. Perfect for a backyard barbecue or a cozy family dinner. Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to make the dry rub.
  3. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs and apply the dry rub generously on both sides of the racks.
  4. Place the seasoned ribs on the smoker racks bone-side down and smoke for 3 hours, maintaining a steady temperature.
  5. After 3 hours, remove the ribs from the smoker and wrap them tightly in aluminum foil.
  6. Return the wrapped ribs to the smoker and continue smoking for another 1 hour.
  7. While the ribs are smoking, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  8. Once the ribs are done smoking, carefully unwrap them from the foil and transfer them to the grill.
  9. Brush the ribs generously with your favorite BBQ sauce on both sides and grill for about 5 minutes per side, or until the sauce caramelizes and forms a beautiful glaze.
  10. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing them into individual portions.
  11. Serve the smoked BBQ baby back ribs hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side and enjoy!

Interesting Facts

  • Wrapping the ribs in foil during the second stage of smoking helps to lock in moisture and further tenderize the meat.
  • Grilling the ribs after smoking adds a nice char and caramelization to the BBQ sauce.
