These melt-in-your-mouth smoked pork back ribs are the perfect combination of savory, smoky, and tender. The ribs are slow-smoked to perfection, allowing the flavors to develop and the meat to become incredibly juicy and tender. This recipe will have your guests coming back for seconds!

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.
  4. Rub the dry rub all over the ribs, making sure to coat them evenly.
  5. Place the ribs on the smoker and smoke for 3 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature.
  6. In a spray bottle, mix together the apple cider vinegar and apple juice.
  7. After 3 hours, spritz the ribs with the apple cider vinegar and apple juice mixture every 30 minutes for the next 2 hours.
  8. During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce for a sticky, sweet finish.
  9. Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
