  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup festive sprinkles (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, and heavy cream.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and vanilla extract.
  6. Stir until all the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  7. If desired, mix in the chopped nuts at this stage.
  8. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  9. If desired, sprinkle festive sprinkles over the top of the fudge, gently pressing them into the surface.
  10. Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 2 hours, or until set.
  11. Once set, lift the fudge out of the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang.
  12. Cut the fudge into squares or rectangles of your desired size and serve.
