Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, 1/3 cup softened butter, salt, egg, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add in parmesan cheese and minced garlic, then gradually mix in remaining flour to form a soft dough.

  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  7. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush rolls with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
