Coated in a tangy buffalo sauce, this dish is perfect for game day or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer. It's easy to make and doesn't require any deep frying, making it a guilt-free indulgence. Serve with celery sticks and ranch dressing for the ultimate buffalo chicken experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Celery sticks and ranch dressing, for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. In another shallow bowl, whisk the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, coating it evenly. Shake off any excess flour.
  5. Next, dip the chicken into the whisked eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  6. Coat the chicken in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere them to the chicken.
  7. Place the coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  8. Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken breasts and air fry for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are golden brown and crispy.
  9. While the chicken is cooking, mix the hot sauce and melted butter together in a small saucepan over low heat until well combined.
  10. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and brush the buffalo sauce mixture onto both sides of the chicken.
  11. Serve the air fried buffalo chicken with celery sticks and ranch dressing for dipping.
