Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 can (12 fluid ounces) evaporated milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves. Mix until well blended.
  3. Add eggs and evaporated milk; mix until smooth.
  4. Pour into pie crust.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F; bake an additional 40 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool on a wire rack for 2 hours.
  8. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
