Ingredients
1 pound sweet Italian sausage
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
4 cups kale, chopped
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound short pasta such as penne or bow ties
Directions
In a large pot, cook the sausage over medium heat until cooked through, about 8 minutes. Remove the sausage from the pot and set aside.
Add the olive oil to the pot and heat over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the white wine and red pepper flakes and bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes.
Add the kale and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Add the heavy cream, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
Add the cooked sausage back to the pot and stir to combine. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
Serve the creamy kale and pasta with sweet sausage hot.
