Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 12 muffin tins or line with muffin papers.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
In a separate bowl, mix together the oil, vanilla, milk and cream cheese. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just blended.
Fill the muffin tins with the batter and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the tins.
