Ingredients
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 6 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the apples and cranberries and toss to coat.
- Line the bottom of a 9 inch pastry-lined pie plate with the fruit mixture. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust, seal and crimp edges.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
