Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup apricot jam
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
- Add the sugar and beat until combined.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Add the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
- Drop the dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned around the edges.
- Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes.
- Spread 1/2 teaspoon of apricot jam on the top of each cookie.
- Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
