Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, cubed
  • 1 lb smoked sausages, sliced
  • 1 lb ham, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup olives, sliced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 8 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Sour cream and fresh dill, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the sliced sausages and diced ham. Cook until lightly browned. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until translucent.
  4. Return the beef, sausages, and ham to the pot. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaves, paprika, dried dill, black pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  6. Add the sliced pickles and olives to the pot. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the bay leaves and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
