Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until combined. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Add the almonds and cranberries and mix until just combined.
Divide the dough into two equal pieces and shape into logs, about 12 inches long and 2 inches wide. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Cut the logs into 1-inch slices and place them cut-side down on the baking sheet. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving.
