Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Soak the cashews in water for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  2. Drain the cashews and place them in a food processor or blender.
  3. Add the nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, lemon juice, and water and blend until smooth.
  4. Transfer the cheese to a bowl and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Scoop the cheese onto a plate or cutting board and shape it into a log or block.
  6. Refrigerate the cheese for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
