Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  4. Using a cookie scoop, drop batter onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool on wire racks.
  5. In separate bowls, mix confectioners' sugar with a little water to make a thick glaze. Add cocoa powder to one bowl and mix until smooth.
