Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar.
Add the eggs one at a time and whisk until smooth.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.
Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon mixture.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, and cinnamon.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
When the cake is done, remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
Pour the glaze over the top of the cake and let cool completely before serving.
