Ingredients

  • 1 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream (softened)

Directions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until fully combined.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the cream over medium-low heat until it begins to simmer.
  3. Add the cocoa mixture to the cream and stir until the mixture is completely incorporated. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  6. In a large bowl, mix together the softened ice cream and cooled chocolate mixture until fully combined.
  7. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
