Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and flour. Mix until a crumbly dough forms. Press the dough into a 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, apples, apple cider, cornstarch, and salt. Mix until combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
