Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
- Add egg and molasses and whisk until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or two spoons, form dough into balls and place onto prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
