Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture into the pre-baked crust. Bake for 40 minutes or until the center is set.
