Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup marzipan, cut into small cubes
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and marzipan cubes.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
