Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup parsley, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup chickpea flour
- 1/4 cup olive oil, plus more for cooking
Directions
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, baking powder, and chickpea flour. Pulse until combined and a thick paste forms.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and form each one into a patty.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping once during cooking, until golden brown on each side.
- Serve the burgers on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.
