Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into small cubes
  • 3 tablespoons cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ginger paste, chili powder, cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, and salt and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the bell pepper and tomato and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
  6. Add the cream and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in the cilantro and serve.
